Create New Publishing Rule Dialog Box
In this dialog box, you can define a publishing rule or rule set by specifying the name, type, publishing properties and special parameters of the rule or rule set.
On the Name tab, specify:
• Name — enter the name for your rule
• Type — choose the output type for your rule. If you choose Rule Set, the Publish tab changes to the Rules tab.
• Rule File — choose the name of the file where you want to save your rule or rule set. Rule files are listed using the unique identifier followed by the path and file name of the rule file.
If you wish to create a new rule file, choose New to open Create Publishing Rule File, where you can specify a new rule file name.
• Description — enter a description of your rule or rule set.
The Document Type and Target are already specified based on your current document and whether the rule will be a local rule or rule set or a server rule for use with Arbortext Publishing Engine.
The second tab depends on what you choose for Type on the Name tab:
• If you chose a specific published output for Type, such as PDF or HTML, use the Publish tab to specify the publishing properties that apply to your selected output type. If you see the notation (pe) for a stylesheet or configuration file, that file is located on the Arbortext PE server.
• If you chose a rule set for Type, use the Rules tab to add, remove, or reorder the rules in the rule set.
◦ Add — opens Add Publishing Rules to a Rule Set , where you choose a rule to add to the rule set.
◦ Details — opens Publishing Rules Details , where you review all the properties of the rule.
◦ Move Up and Move Down — moves the selected rule in the specified direction in the list.
◦ Remove — deletes the selected rule from the rule set. You will be asked to confirm the deletion.
On the Advanced tab, you can:
• Add — opens Create Parameter, where you specify the new parameter name and value.
• Modify — opens Modify Parameter, where you change the value of the selected parameter.
• Remove — deletes the selected parameter. You will be asked to confirm the deletion.
Save saves the new rule or rule set. You’ll be returned to the previous window.
