Setting Interference Detection Preferences
To set preferences for Interference Detection perform the following steps:
1. From the Site or Organizations tab, go to Utilities > Preference Management > Visualization > Interference Detection.
2. Right-click a preference from the list, and choose Set Preference. The Set Preference dialog box opens.
3. Set the preference and click OK.
The available preferences for the entire interference detection feature are shown in the following table. The default values are marked with an asterisk (*)

Specifies which related parts to collect for selected interferences as affected objects when initiating change management actions from interference tables.
Interfering Parts*
The interference is associated to one of the interfering parts.
Common parent
The interference is associated to the common parent.

Specifies the default required clearance value for new IDDs.
The default value is 0.01.
Default Tolerable Volume

The default value is 0.0.

If both object types appear in the value definition, the new instances are linked to the first object type if they are included in the representation, otherwise the instances are linked to the second object type.
