Object Overview
Before working withWindchill objects, it is important to understand the following concepts:
Different object types, such as parts and documents, manage the data stored in the Windchill system. For descriptions of the object types, see Object Types.
Each object type has unique object attributes, such a name and number. For descriptions of these attributes, see Object Attributes.
You can perform a number of actions on objects. For a description of these actions, see Actions Common Among Objects.
Many objects types can change over time. These changes are represented by the object version. For more information on versions, revisions, and iterations, see Object Versions.
Parts and documents can be related to one another in different ways. For information on relationships, see Part and Document Relationship Overview.
Object information, such as attributes, actions, and relationships is available from the object information page. For more information, see Information Pages.
