Download an Experience for Offline Viewing
Depending on your device, use one of the following methods to download the experience from Vuforia View:
• iOS—Tap the options menu (...) in a running experience. Tap Share, and then select Download. Once downloaded, experiences will appear in your Downloads library.
• Android—Tap the options menu (...) in a running experience, and select Download. Once downloaded, experiences will appear in your Downloads library.
• Windows—Tap the Download icon in the Actions bar at the bottom of a running experience. Once downloaded, experiences will appear in your Downloads library.
|
Any external bindings in an offline experience will not work.
|
Update a Downloaded Experience
If an experience is modified and then republished in Vuforia Studio, the experience can then be updated in Vuforia View. To update an experience, navigate to your Downloads tab in Vuforia View, and tap the update button next to the experience.
|
If an experience or project is completely removed or deleted in Vuforia Studio, the next time a user tries to update the experience in Vuforia View, it will be removed from the device.

Best Practices
This section contains best practices for offline Experiences.
• If you’re writing your own JavaScript to retrieve local resources, use the data URL instead of a XMLHTTPRequest.
• For best results with downloaded experiences, the experience should be published with the most recent version of Vuforia Studio available.
Known Issue
There is currently a known issue where downloading an experience for offline viewing fails because the total path plus the file name exceeds 260 characters. This will be addressed in a future release.
