This Help Center contains information about the ThingWorx Axeda Compatibility Package (ACP) for Axeda eMessage Agents (Axeda Gateway and Axeda Connector Agents) 2.x. You will find detailed information about installing and configuring the ThingWorx eMessage Connector and using the features provided in this package by exploring the contents of this Help Center. Important Information
When you are planning to upgrade your ThingWorx environment or looking for compatibility information for versions of ThingWorx products, see the PTC Release Advisor. To learn how to use Release Advisor, refer to the Technical Support article, "How to plan an upgrade using PTC Release Advisor".

Starting with ThingWorx Axeda Compatibility Package 2.1.0, the Axeda-ThingWorx Entity Exporter (ATEE) tool is no longer distributed with the package. Axeda customers who want to migrate to ThingWorx should contact the PTC Axeda Transition Team for assistance with their migration.
In accordance with industry standard best practices regarding process isolation, PTC strongly recommends installing the ThingWorx eMessage Connector in a separate runtime environment from the ThingWorx Platform.

For SCM functionality to work with the ThingWorx Axeda Compatibility Package, you must install the ThingWorx Utilities Core and SCM extensions, which are no longer included in the ThingWorx Axeda Compatibility Package and therefore, must be downloaded separately. For more information about installing ThingWorx Utilities Core and SCM extensions, see Importing ThingWorx Utilities Core and the SCM Extension.

For remote access, you need to download a Remote Access Client (RAC) separately from the ThingWorx Axeda Compatibility Package. The latest version of the RAC is backwards compatible with previous releases of the Remote Access Extension (RAE). If you have been using the most recent version of Axeda Desktop Viewer, you can continue to use that client through the RAC. If you use an SSH client, you can use it through the RAC as well.
