To Create an ECAD Distance Measurement
1. Open the Measure Distance dialog box in one of these ways:
Select two points in the graphic area and then click Markup > Distance. The Measure Distance dialog box opens with the edges closest to the selected points selected and with the measurement in the Results panel.
Perform the following steps:
1. Click Markup > Distance. The Measure Distance dialog box opens.
2. Under Options, select one of these rules:
Same Layer—Limits the selection of the second point to the first point’s layer.
Free Select—Selects a point without snapping to an object or layer.
Same Object—Limits the selection of the second point to the same object on which the first point resides.
3. Select a location for the start point of the measurement. It appears in the Reference panel.
4. Press CTRL, and then select a location for the end point of the measurement. It appears in the Reference panel, and the measurement appears under Results.
2. To adjust the measurement, click a reference and then select a new point. Under Results, the measurement updates automatically.
3. Click . The measurement is saved to the annotation set.
