About Monitoring Synchronization of Interference Reports
After interference results are saved, you can make changes to parts of the model and save the changes to Windchill. When parts of a model interfere, you or another user in your organization may make structural or geometric changes to the model or delete a part. This affects the results list of the saved interference report. If the time stamp of a part in the saved report does not match the time stamp of the part’s latest version in Windchill, or the part no longer exists in Windchill, the interference report is out of date. These are the indications of an unsynchronized interference report:
The interference view is marked (Not Synchronized).
Under General Details, Synchronized is set to No.
The text of the affected rows in the Results list and the Full Report is red.
The text of the affected items in the Structure Tree is red.
Activate the timestamp check in the Model-Interference options. Orange text in the Structure Tree indicates that the results of the interference report may or may not be out of date. The text of affected rows in the Results list and items in the Structure Tree also become red when you do the following:
Change the location of interfering parts in the interference view.
Change the location of a part and then click Capture Location > Capture All. This modifies the default location of the relevant part in the structure and in other views as well, including interfering parts in interference view.
You can filter unsynchronized parts and interferences in the Structure Tree display as well as in the Results list and the Full Report. To update the report, recalculate the interferences and save the new results.
