To View Design Objects in the Graphics Window and the Design Objects Tree
The information in the Design Objects Tree is associated with the design object geometry in the graphics window. Therefore, you can locate the design object in the Design Objects Tree and then view the corresponding geometry in the graphics window, or locate the design object geometry in the graphics window and view the corresponding information in the Design Objects Tree.
This topic includes the following viewing options:
Preselection highlighting
When preselection highlighting is activated, when you point to a design object in the Design Objects Tree, the item is highlighted in the Design Objects Tree, and corresponding design object geometry is highlighted in the graphics window.
To activate preselection in the Design Objects Tree:
1. Click

Design Objects Tree >
Show. A menu opens.
2. Select the check box next to Preselection Highlighting.
Highlight geometry
When highlight geometry is activated, when you select a design object in the Design Objects Tree, the corresponding design object is highlighted in the graphics window.
To activate selection highlight in the Design Objects Tree:
1. Click

Design Objects Tree >
Show. A menu opens.
2. Select the check box next to Highlight Geometry.
Auto locate in tree
When auto locate in tree is activated, when you select design object geometry in the graphics window, the corresponding design objects are highlighted in the Design Objects Tree, and the nodes to which the design objects belong expand.
To activate auto locate in the Design Objects Tree:
1. Click

Design Objects Tree >
Show. A menu opens.
2. Select the check box next to Auto Locate in Tree.
Show pop up info
When show pop up info is activated, when you point to a design object in the Design Objects Tree, a popup window that contains information about the design object’s attributes opens next to your pointer location in the graphics window.
To activate show popup viewer in the Design Objects Tree:
1. Click

Design Objects Tree >
Show. A menu opens.
2. Select the check box next to Show Pop Up Info.
