About Using Predefined Shapes
In Creo Layout, you can add shapes to your design to simplify and automate design development. After you insert the shape, you can then move, scale, and rotate it.
You can choose from a library of standard 2D shapes such as polygons, profiles, and stars. Objects can include geometric or construction entities with or without constraints, dimensions, text, notes, leaders, and tables. You can also create your own user-defined shapes. Any file with the extension .sec and .cem that you save to the subdirectory library appears in the user-defined tab.
Set the following configuration options to manage the library of shapes in Creo Layout:
• layout_symbol_dir—Specifies the directory path.
• 2d_palette_path—Specifies the name of an additional tab for user-defined shapes.
