About Basic Dimensions
Basic dimensions are theoretically exact dimensions that appear with the measurement value and some associated text enclosed in a feature control frame. If the original dimension has tolerances, these tolerances are automatically removed; you cannot add tolerances to basic dimensions. You can transform existing dimensions into basic dimensions, and set inspection dimensions according to the DIN standard.
