Thermal Conductivity as a Function of Temperature
In native mode you can define the thermal conductivity of a material as a function of temperature. Right-click the Thermal Conductivity box to select Function. The Functions dialog box opens. You can create a new function using the Function Definition dialog box. The independent variable of the function is temperature.
You can create either a symbolic or a table function for thermal conductivity.
For models with materials that have temperature-dependent thermal conductivity you can define steady-state thermal analysis only and not transient thermal analyses. If your model contains materials with temperature-dependent conductivity, then the analysis becomes nonlinear.
Return to Thermal Values for Isotropic Properties or Thermal Values for Orthotropic Properties or Thermal Values for Transversely Isotropic Properties.
