To Save a File
1. On the Quick Access Toolbar, click or click File > Save. The Save Object dialog box opens. To save an existing file, click OK. For a new file, follow the next steps.
2. Accept the default folder or browse to a new folder.
3. In the File name box, the file name of the active model appears. To save to another model, type a name in the Save To box.
4. Click OK.
You can also save files by clicking File > Save As and selecting one of the following commands:
Save a Copy—Saves a copy of the active part or assembly file to the current working directory with a new name that you specify.
Save a Backup—Saves a backup of the active part or assembly file to the current working directory with a new version number.
