Creo Direct > Designing in the Creo Direct Environment > Working in Part Mode > Working with 3D Geometry > Editing 3D Geometry > Mirroring Geometry > To Mirror an Assembly

To Mirror an Assembly
1. Click Mirror component. Alternatively, right click a part name in the model tree and click . The Mirror Component dialog box opens.
2. Select a component or a subassembly or, the entire assembly in the graphics window. Alternatively, select them from the model tree.
3. Select a plane in the graphics window, as a reference for mirroring.
4. Select Create a new model to create a new model as a mirrored component. By default it is auto selected.
5. Type a name for the new model in the File name text box.
6. You can type a common description of the model in the Common name text box.

* Symmetry analysis can be used to quickly identify symmetric and asymmetric geometrical components. These components can easily be reused instead of creating new models. To perform a symmetry analysis, do the following steps:
a. Click Perform symmetry analysis.
b. Click Options.
c. To reuse symmetric components, click Reuse symmetric components.
d. To include geometrical elements of the model in the symmetry analysis, click Quilts, Datums, and Curves as applicable.
7. To see a preview of the mirrored geometry in the graphics window, click Preview.
8. Click OK.
