To Add Text to a Section
1. On the Home tab, in the Sketch group, click Text.
2. Click an entity or click the graphics window to select a start point for specifying the text height and orientation. A construction line follows the pointer.
3. Click another location to specify the endpoint. The Text dialog box opens. The length of the construction line determines the height of the text. The angle of the line determines the text orientation. An arrowhead appears at the start point of the construction line indicating the direction of the text.
4. Specify the following values in the Text dialog box:
a. In the Text line area, type the text.
b. Click Text Symbol to insert special text symbols.
c. In the Font area, specify the following values:
From the Font list, select a type face from a list of fonts and TrueType fonts.
Select a combination of horizontal and vertical positions to place the start point of the text string. The start point snaps to the construction line that defines the height and orientation of the text.
Use the slider to increase or decrease the aspect ratio of your text.
Use the slider to increase or decrease the slant angle of your text.
d. Click Place along curve and select the curve on which you want to place the text. Select a combination of horizontal and vertical positions to define the start point of the text string. The horizontal position defines the start point on the curve.
e. Click . The construction line and the text string are placed at the other end of the selected curve. This placement is based on the start point of the text.
f. Click Kerning to control the space between certain pairs of characters, improving the appearance of the text string.
g. Click OK. The text is added on the sketching plane.
5. Middle-click or press ESC to exit the tool.
