Selecting Geometric Entities for Moving
Consider the following points for selecting geometric entities or parts for the move operation in part and assembly modes:
You can select a part either from the graphics window or the Model Tree.
In assembly mode, you can select geometry and components simultaneously or one at a time by setting a suitable selection filter and then holding down the CTRL key for selection.
You can select geometric entities and components simultaneously by setting the selection filter to All and drawing a rectangular bounding box to select the entities. If you select all the solid surfaces of a part, the selection is updated to be the part that the surfaces belong to. If you select all the parts of a subassembly, the selection is updated to be the subassembly that the parts belong to.
You can remove a geometric entity or a component from the selection set by holding down the CTRL key and selecting the entity from the list.
If you select a component (part or subassembly) for moving from a subassembly, the component is moved in the context of that subassembly. Any other occurrence of that subassembly in the top-level assembly shows the same movement for that component.
