About Working with Cross Sections
You can use a cross section to see a cutout of a model along a particular direction. In the Creo Direct modeling environment, you can work with a model with the following cross section types created in Creo Parametric:
Planar section—Created by a plane intersecting the model
Offset section—Created by a sketch intersecting the model
Pattern of sections—Created by patterning an offset or a planar section
Cross sections appear on the Model Tree under the Sections node represented by icons for each of the above-mentioned types. You can perform the following operations on cross sections:
Hide or show using the Model Tree
Active or deactivate a single cross section. Models appear clipped when you activate a cross section.
Flip the clipping direction of the cross section
Edit the definition of a cross section. Change a cross section color.
Modify section dimensions for offset cross sections

* You cannot directly modify the offset cross section, but you can modify the underlying sketch and recreate the offset cross section.
Delete the selected cross section. Deletion involves removing the cross section from the Model Tree and hiding it from the graphics window.
Apart from the standard options, the following options are available on the short cut menu that appears when you right-click a cross section:
Activate or Deactivate
Show Section
Flip Clipping Direction
