To Customize the Model Tree
1. Click the arrow next to on the Model Tree. The Options menu appears.
2. Select from the following options:
Locate in Model Tree—Highlights the name of a selected part in the model tree.
Expand All—Expands all the nodes of the selected tree.
Collapse All—Collapses all the nodes of the selected tree.
Preselection Highlighting—Highlights the model entities with the preselection color in the graphics window as you move the pointer over them.
Highlight Geometry—Highlights geometry with the secondary color in the graphics window. The highlights correspond to the entity nodes that you select on the Model Tree.
Save Model Tree—Opens the Save Model Tree dialog box. Accept the default file name treetool.txt or type another name and save the text file in your working directory.
Show Component Name—Displays the component name adjacent to the model.
Allow Hidden Objects—Displays parts or models in the assembly which are otherwise hidden.
Display Hidden Items in the Model Tree—Displays the names of the sketch feature of the part in the model tree. Hover over their names to highlight them in the graphics window. For example, the name of a sketching plane used as a reference.
Tree Columns—In the assembly mode, opens the Model Tree Columns dialog box, to add or remove columns in the model tree. You can write the column names as parameters.
Simple Search- Displays the search box. You can dynamically search and filter the Model Tree nodes based on text, conditions, query types, wild cards, and tree column values. For example, enter the name of the sketching plane used as a reference in search field to search the entity. The searched or filtered items are highlighted in the Model Tree.
