About the Creo Direct Main Window

Description
File menu
Contains basic commands for Creo Direct operations such as creating, saving, opening, and modifying models, and customizing your modeling environment.
Ribbon
Contains a set of tabs that group related tools.
Home tab
Appears on the Ribbon both in part and assembly modes.
In part mode it displays commands to create, modify, manipulate, dimension, and analyze geometry.
In assembly mode it displays commands to perform various assembly operations such as insert, reposition, delete, analyze, or move components.
View tab
Appears on the Ribbon in part mode only. Displays tools for setting the design view and the model display style. It also has tools to toggle the display of guides and precision panels.
Toolbars
Includes the Quick Access Toolbar at the top of the Creo Direct window and the Graphics toolbar at the top of the graphics window.
Graphics window
Appears on the main window to the right of the navigation area. When you open a file, it opens in the graphics window.
Navigation area
Includes the following elements:
Model Tree—Lists all the entities within a model in an hierarchical format in a separate pane.
Folder browser—Provides access to the file systems and other locations accessible from your computer in the Creo Direct browser.
Favorites—Stores your favorite links in the Favorites navigator.
Status bar
Contains controls and displays information at the bottom of the graphics window.
Creo Direct browser
Provides access to internal and external Web sites.
