About Creating Sketched Datums
In 2D mode, you can convert one or more sketched points, regular lines, or construction lines to sketched datum points and sketched datum axes. These datums are called sketched datums. The characteristics of sketched datums follow:
Sketched datums appear on the Model Tree.
Once converted, the sketched datums cannot be reverted to the original entities. You must either undo the operation or delete the sketched datum and sketch the original entity again.
You can delete the sketched datums without affecting the sketch that generated them.
Sketched datums are not deleted if you delete the sketch that generated them.
When you select a sketch on the Model Tree, the sketched datums created by the sketch are not highlighted.
Sketches with only sketched datums are not displayed on the Model Tree.
Sketched datums are deleted from an edited sketch.
