Add data from one object to other objects in a configuration
You can add position information from one of the objects of a configuration to new objects to add those new objects to the same configuration.
For example, you can add position information from the hour hand to the minute hand of the clock to move both the hands.
1. Select the configuration.
2. Select the hour hand (from object) of the clock.
3. Select the minute hand (to object) to copy positioning information from the hour hand to the minute hand.
To add data from one object of a configuration to other objects within the same configuration,
1. Click Structure and then, in the Configurations group, click More.
2. Click Add Data in the Modify section. The Add Data dialog box opens.
3. Click Configuration and select a configuration in the Structure Browser.
4. To copy position information from an object, click From Object and select the source object (within the selected configuration) in the viewport or the Structure Browser.
5. To add position information to one or more objects, click To Objects and then, select the target objects in the viewport.
• The target objects should be the children of the owner of the selected configuration.
• The target objects should not have any earlier position information under the selected configuration.
