Create and modify 3D models > Create 2D geometry > Create, change, or remove a fillet

Create, change, or remove a fillet
You can fillet (blend) the common end point of two geometry elements.
To create a fillet,
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Draw group, click the arrow next to Fillet.
2. Click Create. The Create Fillet dialog box opens.
3. Select the geometry to fillet by using one of the following methods:
Click the end point common to the two geometry elements.
Click the two geometry elements that meet at the common end point.
Box the geometry to select a single vertex or multiple vertices.
Press SHIFT or F2 and select multiple edges or vertices in the viewport.
*
If you select vertices, on which valid fillets cannot be created, then those vertices are marked in the viewport and a warning appears.
*
To select multiple edges or vertices,
Press SHIFT, select multiple edges or vertices in the viewport, and middle-click to complete the selection or,
Press F2; for more information, see Using the Select tool.
*
The 2D CoPilot shows a directional arrow (polestar) at the selected vertex (last-selected vertex if multiple vertices are selected) as shown in the image below.
You can select the directional arrow (polestar) and move the cursor to create the fillet at the vertex or you can also drag the directional arrow to create the fillet.
While moving the cursor or dragging the directional arrow (polestar), you can type the radius of the fillet and press ENTER to create the fillet.
4. Click Radius in the Create Fillet dialog box and type the radius value.
*
You can also first specify the radius and then select the edges or vertices to create fillets.
5. You can fillet other geometry with the same radius by selecting the new geometry as described earlier.
6. Click to complete the operation.
To change a fillet's radius,
1. Click Modeling and then, in the Draw group, click the arrow next to Fillet.
2. Click Modify. The Modify Fillet dialog box opens.
3. Click or box the fillets you want to change. You can also press SHIFT or F2 and select multiple fillets in the viewport.
