You can also click Insert and then, in the Picture group, click New. The New Picture dialog box opens along with the File Browser.
2. On the Load dialog box, in File Type, select Picture .
3. Select a picture.
4. Click Load.
5. Place the image on the drawing.
6. Close the Load dialog.
To edit a picture using your default picture editor,
1. Click Insert and then, in the Picture group, click Edit.
2. Select a picture. Your default picture editing application opens.
3. Edit the picture with your default picture editing application.
4. Save the picture.
You can now edit another picture.
To reposition a picture,
1. Click and drag the picture in the viewport.
2. Click again to place the picture.
Or, you can use the Move command for further control over repositioning.
1. Click Insert and then, in the Picture group, click Move. The Modify Picture Position dialog box opens.
2. Select a picture in the viewport or the Drawing Browser. You can use the Modify Picture Position dialog box to change the picture's owner, or to create and move a copy of your picture.
3. Reposition the picture.
4. Click to complete the operation.
To change a picture's properties,
1. Click Insert and then, in the Picture group, click Properties.
2. Select a picture in the viewport or the Drawing Browser. The Picture Properties dialog box opens.
3. You can resize, rename, and resample the picture, adjust its angle, anti-alias and transparency settings, and place it in front of or behind other pictures.
To fit a picture to a box,
1. Click Insert and then, in the Picture group, click Fit to Box.
2. Select a picture in the viewport or the Drawing Browser.
3. Click in the viewport, then move the cursor to specify the size of the box, and click again to define the corners of the box. The picture fits into the box.
Limitations
• Creo Elements/Direct Annotation won't import pictures' associated print sizes and transparency data (if any).
• You cannot save pictures to eDrawings, or to external 2D file formats (e.g., DXF, DWG, IGES 2D).
• Creo Elements/Direct Annotation excludes pictures from drawings saved as pre-2008 file versions.
