Set the dimension text style
You can set the styles of the different types of text in dimensions. Text sizes are indicated by an absolute size and its relativity to the size of the main dimension value. Either relative values or absolute values can be specified, except for the main dimension value which can only be set absolutely.
You can also set the length and angle unit value styles in dimensions in the Default settings browser.
To set a text style, length unit style, or angle unit style,
1. Click File > Settings > Dimension > Dim Text Settings. The Default Settings browser (table) opens with Text settings.
2. Double-click in the Value column for the setting you wish to change.
3. Double-click to select the appropriate text, size, or format style.
The styles of the following text can be set:
Main Dimension Value (absolute only)
Main Tolerance
Second Dimension Value
Second Tolerance

Common
The common attributes of all types of dimension text can be set in the Common section of the Dimension text default settings. (Click File > Settings > Dimension > Dim Text Settings and scroll down to the Common section). See the Description column for information on each setting. The common attribute default settings include:
Orientation
Text Location
Tolerance Alignment
Space: The dimension text space can be specified when the text location is set to be above or below the dimension line. The text space determines the distance between the dimension text and the dimension line. The space setting is ignored when the text location is set to be on the dimension line.
Gap: For dimension text located on the dimension line, you can set the gap between the text and the broken line. The gap value sets the distance between the dimension text and the continuation of the dimension line on either side. This setting is ignored when the text location is above or below the dimension line. The figure shows two dimensions with different text gap settings. The left dimension has a gap value of 2 mm and the right dimension one of 6 mm.
