The BOM Update command in the Manage section replaces the displayed values of BOM text references with their current values. For example, you would update BOM data after adding reference numbers in the Numbering section.
The Update command only updates text references that already exist within the drawing. For example: part names, numbers, and flags - dependent upon customization. The Update command also updates the contents of BOM sketches, however it does not add or remove lines within a BOM sketch.
To update BOM data,
1. Click Insert and then, in the BOM group, click the arrow next to Manage.
2. Click BOM Update.
All text references of the existing BOM tables and flags are updated to show their current values.
