Parameters for Full Installation on a Client Computer
The following parameters are used to silently install the full installation of the desktop application on a client computer. These parameters are not case-sensitive.
/FILE
Specifies a path to a text file that contains parameters. This file is often referred to as an answer file. When you use the /FILE parameter, rather than supplying parameters in the Run window, you point to a text file that contains the parameters instead. One advantage of using the /FILE parameter is that you can specify a UNC path or a local path. The greatest benefit is that you have to specify parameters only once. On each client computer, you simply use the /FILE parameter to point to the text file. This approach results in the consistent and easy setup of all client computers. For more information, see /FILE Parameter.
/SERVERDIR
Specifies the UNC path to the application server. It is used with the /NETWORKFILES parameter.
/NETWORKFILES
Specifies the location of the Data Files directory. This value is saved to the options for client computers.
/INSTALLDIR
Specifies the path to the local installation directory on the client computer. The default is C:\Program Files (x86)\PTC\Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.
/NOSHORTCUTS
Indicates that a desktop shortcut and a Start menu shortcut are not to be created. If this parameter is not specified, shortcuts are created.
/? or /H or /Help
Any of these commands opens a help window that displays descriptions of the supported parameters.
