Client Installations for a Network Setup
For a network setup, you run client installations on the computers on which Windchill Risk and Reliability is to be used. From the client computer, navigate to the shared Windchill Risk and Reliability directory on the application server. The path is C:\Program Files (x86)\PTC\Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0\Client. When you double-click the WindchillRiskandReliability12.0 file, the Client Setup program starts. You can then step through its pages to install the needed files and shortcuts on the client computer.

During a silent installation, the Client Setup program does not start. While some of the Microsoft installers that run during a client installation might display status messages, none of these messages require user feedback. If errors occur during a silent installation, error messages appear. Errors are written to the Windows Application Event Log. For more information about this log, see the help for your Windows operating system.
