Using the Summary Calculator with an ALT Data Set
For an ALT data set, you can use the Summary Calculator to calculate standard probability, conditional probability, failure rate, warranty time, time to failure, mean life, an acceleration factor, parameter bounds, and an inverse Fisher matrix. The procedure for running each of these calculations is the same.
1. If the appropriate ALT data set is not already selected in the LDA Navigator, select it.
2. To open the Summary Calculator, do one of the following:
Select LDA > Summary Calculator.
In a title bar of a Parameters pane, click the third button, which is for the Summary Calculator.
Summary Calculator Button
3. In the navigation pane, click the calculation to perform.
For example, to calculate conditional probability, select Conditional Probability.
4. Supply stress values in the Usage table and specify the appropriate calculation parameters. For more information, see Summary Calculations for an ALT Data Set.
5. When finished, click Calculate. Once the calculations run, results are shown in the table under Calculation results.
6. When finished, click Close.
On the Inverse Fisher Matrix page, you need only to click Calculate. Results are shown in a matrix. For more information, see Inverse Fisher Matrix.
