Viewing and Modifying Block Properties in an RBD Block Library File
You can view and modify the properties for any block stored in an RBD Block Library file.
1. If the RBD Block Library file is not already open, then open it.
2. In the RBD Blocks table, select the block.
3. In the RBD Block Definition pane, do one of the following to display either calculation or visual properties:
To display visual properties, click Edit Visual Properties.
To display calculation properties, click Edit Calculation Properties.
The appropriate Properties window opens.
Descriptions of all possible properties that can appear in the block’s Visual Properties window appear in Block Visual Properties. The changes that you make to visual properties here in this Properties window affect only this block. To make property changes to all blocks assigned to a particular block style, you must modify the visual properties for that style in the RBD Style Library file in which the style is defined. For more information, see RBD Style Library Files.
Descriptions of all possible properties that can appear in a block’s Calculation Properties window appear in Block Calculation Properties. On the General page, the value shown for Identifier is the library identifier assigned when the block was inserted in the RBD Block Library file.
Not all property pages and properties are available for blocks stored in these files. For example, the Links, Results, and Costs pages are not shown because data linking and calculation results for blocks are possible only for blocks inserted in System files.
4. When finished, click OK.
5. To view and modify properties for additional blocks, repeat steps 3 and 4 as necessary.
6. When finished, close the file.
