Inserting Blocks Directly in the RBD Block Library File
You can insert blocks directly in the RBD Block Library file and define both their visual and calculation properties.
1. Open or create the RBD Block Library file.
2. For each block to insert, do the following:
a. In the last row in the RBD Blocks table, click < Click here to insert a new record >.
The row inserted in the table is assigned the next sequential identifier. The format for this identifier is specified by RBD Block Identifier in this file’s properties. The default is BlockX, where X is the next available numeric value.
b. Complete the options in the table, which are the same as those in the RBD Blocks table in the System file. For more information, see RBD Blocks Pane.
3. For each block, to view and edit properties, use the View Blocks pane.
To view and edit a block’s Visual Proprieties window, click Edit Visual Properties. For more information, see Block Visual Properties.
To view and edit a block’s Calculation Properties window, click Edit Calculation Properties. For more information, see Block Calculation Properties.
In these Properties windows, not all property pages and/or properties are available for library blocks. For example, the Calculation Properties window does not display the Links, Results, and Costs pages because data linking and calculation results are possible only for blocks inserted in System files.
4. When finished, close the RBD Block Library file.
