Mission Profile Phases Pane
The Mission Profile Phases pane displays information about the phases that are inserted for the mission profile selected in the Mission Profile Definition pane. The following table describes all of the options that can appear in this pane. The options that do actually appear depend on whether Show Prediction Fields is selected for the active profile in the Mission Profile Definitions pane. When this checkbox is selected, all of the fields listed below are shown. When it is cleared, only the following fields are shown: Mission Phase, Phase Code, Percent, and Remarks.
Option
Description
Mission Phase
The unique name for the mission phase. This field cannot be left blank. A text string must be entered in this field.
Phase Code
The unique code assigned to the mission phase. The phase code is used in reports. For more information, see Codes.
Percent
The percentage of the total mission time that the system operates in this particular phase. A value from 0 to 100 must be entered.
Temperature
The temperature that the system experiences in this phase. A numeric value from -99.99 to 999.9 must be entered.
Active Environment
The environment in which the system operates if this is an active phase. More than a dozen choices are present for this field.
Dormant
When cleared (default), the phase is an active (operational) phase. When selected, the phase is a dormant (non-operational) phase. To compute a dormant failure rate, an environment must be selected for Dormant Environment.
Dormant Environment
The environment in which the system operates in the dormant phase. This field is available when Dormant is selected. Choices for this field are Airborne, Ground (default), Naval, and Space.
Remarks
Any notes or comments about the phase.
