Linking FRACAS Data to an Assembly
As described in
Data Links, you can link an item to another item in the
System file. When the FRACAS module is also in use, you can create a data link to the FRACAS-calculated failure rate for an assembly.
1. In the System Tree Items table, select the assembly to link to the FRACAS-calculated failure rate.
2. Select > . The Link Data window opens.
3. For Data Source, select FRACAS. System Tree Item becomes available. If multiple configurations exist, Configuration also becomes available.
|
The labels for table selections use the singular names assigned to tables in the Table Settings pane in the Project Properties window. For more information, see Specifying Table Settings.
|
4. Select the assembly with the FRACAS-calculated failure rate and click OK to create the data link.
The data-linked failure rate overrides the calculation type selected for this assembly in its
General Data pane. For more data link information, see
Data Link How-Tos.
You can also link FRACAS Data to a part. For more information, see
Linking FRACAS Data to a Part.
