Inserting a Derating Record
You can insert any number of records in the Project’s Prediction Derating file. When derating analysis is performed, the custom derating limits specified for a part are used along with its built-in derating limits.
1. If the Prediction Derating file is not already open, then open it. You open this file in the same way as any other file.
2. In the last table row in the Derating Definition pane, click < Click here to insert a new record >.
3. Complete this window and click OK.
If your modifications result in a model/category/subcategory/type/parameter combination that is not unique, a window opens, indicating that a record with these values already exists. When you click OK, the Add Derating Record window remains open so that you can either make modifications or click Cancel to close this window without inserting a record.
4. In the
Derating Data pane, specify derating information as described in
Derating Data Pane.
5. When finished, close the file.
