Entering 299C Other Connections
The following table describes the part parameters required for connectors in the Other Connection subcategory when 299C is the selected calculation model.
Parameter
Type
Description
Quality Level
Choice List [Parts Count also]
The appropriate quality screening level of the device. Accepted quality levels and values for this subcategory follow. The 299C model that is selected determines the value for the quality level.
For 299C Parts Stress:
A = 0.25
B = 1.00
C = 5.00
For 299C Parts Count:
A1 = 0.20
A2 = 0.40
B1 = 0.70
B2 = 1.00
C = 4.00
# Crimped

# Solderless Wrapped
Integer [Parts Count also]
The number of solderless wrapped connections.
# Wrapped and Soldered
Integer [Parts Count also]
The number of wrapped and soldered connections.
# Clip Termination
Integer [Parts Count also]
The number of clip termination connections.
# Reflow Soldered
Integer [Parts Count also]
The number of reflow soldered connections.
# Immerging Solder
Integer [Parts Count also]
The number of immerging soldered connections.
# Solder Without Wrap
Integer [Parts Count also]
The number of soldered connections without wrap.
# Solder Point on PCB
Integer [Parts Count also]
The number of soldered connections on the PCB.
Adjust Connector Count
Integer [Parts Count also]
A positive or negative integer that adjusts the connector count calculated.
Automatically Count Connections
Option Button [Parts Count also]
Indicates whether to count the number of a specific type of connections in selected subassemblies. When None is selected (default), no connections are counted. When the option to the right of a connection type is selected, that connection type is counted. When prediction calculations run, the calculated connection count is stored in the last part in the assembly (by record number) that has this parameter set. For more information, see Connections for Part Types.
