Markov Custom Graphs
In addition to generating supplied Markov graphs, you can use the Graph Wizard to generate several types of custom Markov graphs. The procedure for generating any of these graphs is basically the same. After Markov calculations have been run, you start the Graph Wizard and indicate the results to graph.
1. Select Tools > Graph Wizard. The Graph Wizard starts and displays the Load Graph Template page.
2. Select Create a custom graph and click Next. If the Select Module page appears, select Markov and click Next again. The Markov Graph Type page
3. Select the type of graph you want to generate:
Diagram calculation results by time point. When selected, graphs system-level calculation results for a diagram by the number of time points specified in the Calculate window for Markov calculations.
State calculation results by time point. When selected, graphs calculation results for a state by the number of data points specified in the Calculate window for Markov calculations.
Transition calculation results by time point. When selected, graphs calculation results for a transition by the number of data points specified in the Calculate window for Markov calculations.
Display time results by state. When selected, graphs calculation results for all states in the diagram at the display time specified in the Calculate window for Markov calculations.
Display time results by transition. When selected, graphs transition calculation results for all states in the diagram at the display time specified in the Calculate window for Markov calculations.
4. Click Next. The Select Calculation page appears so that you can select the data field with the desired calculation results. The choices available depend on the graph type. Descriptions of all Markov results that can be calculated appear in Calculation Options Page.
5. For Data field, select the result to graph and click Next. The Graph Options page appears so that you can specify how the graph is to look.
6. Complete the Graph Options page and the remaining pages to generate the graph. For more information, see Specifying Graph Options.
Once the wizard closes, the Select Markov Diagram window opens if more than one Markov diagram exists in the System file. If this window opens, select the appropriate diagram and click OK to generate the graph.
If the graph is to plot calculation results for a state or transition by time points, the Select Markov State window or Select Markov Transition window opens so that you can select the appropriate state or transition.
