Inserting a Default State
You can insert a state of the default style in the Markov diagram using the Insert Default State command on the shortcut menu or the Default State command on the Insert menu. Under Markov in the System file properties, several properties are present for specifying default styles for objects inserted in Markov diagrams. For more information, see Markov System File Properties.
1. In the Markov Diagram pane, click in an empty area to ensure that no objects are selected. This step is necessary only if you use the Insert Default State command on the shortcut menu.
2. Do one of the following:
Right-click and select Insert Default State.
Select Insert > Default State.
On the Insert Diagram Objects toolbar, click Insert Default Block. While the terminology for this toolbar is specific to the RBD module, you can use it to insert states and transitions in Markov diagrams.
Press Ctrl+Alt+F.
The default state is attached to the mouse cursor.
3. In the area where the you want to place the state, left-click to insert it.
Under Diagrams in the Options window, Create one object at a time controls insertion behavior. For more information, see Diagrams User Options.
