Inserting a Common Monitor Directly in an FTA Common Monitors Library File

You can insert the common monitors that you want to reuse with multiple SAE events directly in an FTA Common Monitors Library file.

1. If the FTA Common Monitors Library file is not already created or opened, then create or open it.

2. For each common monitor to insert, do the following:

a. In the last table row in the FTA Common Monitors pane, click < Click here to insert a new record >. The Add FTA Common Monitor window opens.

b. For Name, enter the descriptive name to assign to the common monitor.

Code is automatically populated based on the text string you entered. For more information, see Codes.

c. If desired, modify the code.

d. Enter properties in the FTA Common Monitor Parameters pane.

Property	Description
Monitor failure rate	The failure rate of the monitor. The units are specified by General > Failure Rate Multiplier in the properties for this support file. For more information, see General Support File Properties.
Scrub time	The interval between inspection of the monitor to ensure it is operating properly. The default is 0.
Scrub verification percent	The percentage of time the scrub verification detects and corrects monitor failures. You enter a value from 0 to 100. For example if the scrub verification detects and corrects 90 percent of the monitor failures, you would enter 90. The default is 0.
Monitor check interval	The amount of time between inspecting the monitor for latent failures. The default is 0.

3. When finished, close the file.
