System Tree Items Page
Under FRACAS in the Calculate window, the System Tree Items page provides for specifying the System Tree level at which to calculate FRACAS results.

The name of this page and the name for the checkbox depend on the singular name specified for the System Tree Items table. For more information, see Specifying Table Settings.
Although specifying a system tree level for calculations does not affect MTTR, maintenance cost, or repair cost calculations, it does affect MTB and system cost calculations.
For MTB calculations, operating time records up to the specified level are used. For an item at this level, all incidents (or maintenance logs) in the branch for this item are counted as incidents (or maintenance logs) for that item.
For system cost calculations, only items at or above the specified level are added together.
The following table describes the single property on the System Tree Items page.
Property
Description
Calculate to System Tree Item level
When cleared (default), all system tree levels are used in calculations. When selected, you specify the number of levels to use in the field to the right. The default is 1, which means that only the top-level item is calculated. You can enter an integer between 1 and 1000. If 2 is entered, the top-level item and all of its immediate children are calculated. If 3 is entered, the top three levels are calculated. If a value greater than the number of system tree levels is entered, all levels are calculated. While a low value results in quicker calculation processing times, the results are less accurate.
