FMEA Standard Panes
The following table describes the
FMEA panes that appear by default in the System file of a newly created Project. All but the
FMEA Worksheet pane are shown in the upper or left window, depending on the System file orientation. To switch between the horizontal and vertical orientations, you can select > . If needed, you can turn on additional
FMEA panes so that they too show in the System file. For more information, see
FMEA Additional Panes.
|
The pane name is the table name. Because custom names can be specified for FMEA tables and the System Tree Items and Configurations tables, the names in your Projects might differ from those used in this help system. For more information, see Table Settings (Project).

If the Configurations table is turned on in the Table Settings pane in the Project Properties window, it is shown to the right of the System Tree Items table. A suffix is added to the name of this pane to indicate the type of FMEA selected. If you select a process FMEA, the name is FMEA Tree Items - Process. If you select a functional FMEA, the name is FMEA Tree Items - Functional. If you select a component FMEA, the name is FMEA Tree Items - System to emphasize that this table and the System Tree Items table are tied together.

FMEA Worksheet
|
Displays FMEA for the item selected in the FMEA Tree Items table. For more information, see FMEA Worksheet Table.
|
FMEA tables include two special fields, Last Edit User and Last Edit Date, which store the name of the last person who modified a record and when this person made this modification. In the Enterprise Edition, the Windchill Risk and Reliability user name of the person who logged in and made the change is recorded. In the Team Edition, the Windows user name of the person who made the change is recorded. For the FMEA Worksheet table, these two fields exist at each level in the data structure. For example, if only item and mode levels are in use, the following four fields are included in the FMEA Worksheet table: Item Last Edit User, Item Last Edit Date, Mode Last Edit User, and Mode Last Edit Date.
As described in
Table Format Files, you can create and enable custom
Table Format files for all
FMEA tables. You can also create and enable any number of custom
FMEA forms on which to record and view
FMEA data. For more information, see
Form Design Files. As a result, the
FMEA panes that appear in your System file may differ from those described in the subsequent topics.
