Assembly Criticality
Assembly criticality is a calculated results field used in component FMEAs. It is calculated only when a list is attached to
Severity in the
Project’s Data Definition file. Assembly criticality is the sum of the item criticalities for a given record in the
FMEA Tree. For more information, see
Item Criticality. You can view assembly criticalities in the
FMEA Tree Items table.
• For a part, it is the sum of the item criticalities for the part.
• For an assembly, it is the sum of the item criticalities for that assembly and all of its children.
• For the system, it is the sum of the item criticalities for all assemblies.
