Description
The description of the branch (event sequences).
Type
Indicates the type of outcome for the branch. Choices are:
• Null. When selected, the branch has no affect on calculation results.
• Success. When selected, the outcome of the branch is a success.
• Failure. When selected, the outcome of the branch is a failure.
• User-Defined. When selected, the properties under Parameter definition are available so that you can indicate calculation data for the branch.
Parameter definition
Indicates the source of the calculation data for the branch. This property is available only if User-Defined is selected as the type. Choices are:
• User defined. When selected, the properties under Input Type become available so that you can specify the data to use for calculations.
• Event parameter. When selected, an event parameter can be selected in the field to the right. This property is unavailable if no FTA Event Library files are enabled.
• Linked to assembly, part, FMEA, or FTA data. When selected, the branch is already linked to another item in the System file. In this case, all other properties become unavailable because calculation data for the branch is obtained from the linked gate or event.
Input Type
The type of calculation data available for the branch. This property is available only if User defined is selected as the parameter definition. The choices available for this property are the same as the model selections available for a user defined event in a time dependent tree. For descriptions, see Time Dependent Event Properties.
Page break
Provides for starting a branch on a new event tree page. When this checkbox is cleared, the branch appears on the current event tree page. When this checkbox is selected, the branch appears on a new event tree page. For more information, see Inserting a Page Break in an Event Tree. When a branch is shown on another page, an arrow is shown in the original location of the branch.
