Using the Graph Wizard to Load and Modify a Predefined Graph
If the information for a graph has been saved to a Graph Template file, you can load this file in the Graph Wizard and then generate a new graph based on the current data in the System file. Once the Graph Template file is loaded in the Graph Wizard, you can make modifications to all saved settings prior to generating the graph.
1. Select Tools > Graph Wizard. The Graph Wizard starts and displays the Load Graph Template page. The option for creating a custom graph is selected by default.
2. Select Load a predefined graph. A < Select file...> label appears for File name to indicate that only Graph Template files in the Common Library or this Project can be selected. Additionally, the window opens for selecting the Graph Template file.
Listed are all enabled Graph Template files in the Common Library. A prefix of (Common) precedes these files to visually indicate that they reside in the Common Library rather than in the Project. For more information, see Common Library.
3. In the selection window, click the file to use. You are returned to the Load Graph Template page where your selection is shown for File name.
4. Continue to click Next, making any necessary modifications to saved graph settings as the Graph Wizard steps you through its pages.
When you reach the Save Graph Template page, the settings for this graph can be saved to an existing or new Graph Template file. For more information, see Saving Graph Information to a Graph Template File.
5. When you reach the final page of the Graph Wizard, click Finish to generate the graph.
In some cases, one or more windows might open so that you can indicate the data to graph. For example, you might be required to select the FMEA to use for the graph.
Once the graph is generated, it appears in the Graph Designer, where you can save a graphic image of the graph. In the Graph Designer, you can also modify the graph and save information about this graph to a new Graph Template file.
