Simplify File Inputs
When the Simplify file inputs checkbox is selected (default), you can have only Table Format file per table and one Form Set file. Because the default files created during Project creation are enabled for all System files and Assembly Library files, the File Inputs pane is not shown in the Project Properties window. As long as this checkbox remains selected, you can modify an existing Table Format file but not create a new (unless the existing file is somehow deleted). When Form Design files are created or copied into the Project, they are automatically enabled in the Project’s single Form Set file.
When this checkbox is cleared, you can have multiple Table Format files per table and multiple Form Set files. Because you must manually configure the different views you want for System files and Assembly Library files, the
File Inputs pane is shown in the Project Properties window when you select a
System file or
Assembly Library file in the
Project Properties pane. For more information, see
File Inputs (Project).
In the
File Inputs pane for the active file, you manually enable the
Table Format files and
Form Set files to use. For more information, see
Enabling Table Format and Form Set Files.
