Red-Line Options
For Enterprise reports, the Red-line data changes checkbox appears in the left pane only when the following conditions exist:
The Audit Trail application is enabled in the Project properties. This means General > Enable Audit Trail must be selected. This checkbox is available only for Enterprise Projects because Team Projects do not support audit trail data. For more information, see General Project Properties.
The table type for the report must an audited type. While audit trail data is available for most System file tables, it is unavailable for support file tables. For more information, see Audit Trails (Enterprise Edition Only).
You must have permission to view audit trail data. All permissions are set by your system administrator in the Administrator application.
The Red-line data changes checkbox affects whether changed values for the report’s data fields are shown in red on the report. Changed values for calculated result fields are not shown in red.
When you select the entry for the Red-line data changes checkbox, the left pane displays this same check box and red-line options.
When this checkbox is cleared (default), no values on the report are shown in red.
When it is selected, audit trail history data is queried for changes to report data fields before the report is generated The values shown in red on the report depend on which option you select below the checkbox:
All changes — When selected (default), all changed values are shown in red.
Changes since date — When selected, all values that have changed since a specified date are shown in red. You enter or select the date in the field to the right. The default is the previous day. However, you can specify any date before yesterday.

This feature is called red-lining. However, you can display changed input values on the report in any color that you want. After opening the Report Design file in the desktop application, you specify the color to use for red-lining on the General page in the report properties. For more information, see Viewing and Modifying Report Properties.
