Moving a File from the Project to the Common Library
From the file selection or file open state of the Project Navigator, you can move a Graph Template, Import/Export Template, Report Binder, Report Design, or library file that is in the Project to the Common Library. For more information, see:
*
In the Enterprise Edition, only system administrators and designated Project administrators can move files from the Project to the Common Library. While a system administrator can move files to the Common Library from all Projects, a Project administrator can move them only from the Projects for which he or she has been designated a Project administrator.
1. If files of the type to move are not shown in the file selection or file open state of the Project Navigator, do one of the following:
In the Projects pane, click headings and/or subheadings as necessary to display the file type.
In the Navigator Tasks pane, click Expand files to expand the headings and subheadings for all file types.
2. Right-click the file and select Move File to Common Library. The Move File to Common Library window opens, listing all Projects to which you have permissions. The checkbox for the current Project is selected by default. For more information, see Move File to Common Library Window.
3. Select the checkboxes for the Projects in which to enable this file and click OK.
The Copying File window opens as files are moved to the Common Library. The prefix (Common) is shown in front of the file name in the Project Navigator to indicate that this file resides in the Common Library.
