Importing System Tree Configuration Data
The Configurations table can be used with the following modules: FMEA, FRACAS and Prediction. The Import Wizard displays an Add Configurations page for an import of data into the System Tree Configurations table. This page displays only one option, Add new Configurations during import.
• When this checkbox is selected, a new configuration is inserted in the Configurations table when a configuration identifier in the source file does not match any existing records in the Configurations table.
• When this checkbox is cleared, a new configuration is not inserted during the import. Instead, an error is logged for the record to indicate that its configuration identifier does match any of those in the Configurations table.
The only fields available for import into (or export from) the System Tree Configurations table are:
• System Tree Item
• Configuration
• Tree Item Enabled?
All three of these fields must be mapped for the Import Wizard to continue. If new configurations are added, in the new record, an identifier is assigned and the defaults in the Data Definition file are used. No other fields are updated. All items in the new system tree configuration are enabled unless thy are imported in later records as disabled. System tree items cannot be added through this import. If an new item is found, an error is logged for the record.
For Tree Item Enabled?, 1 indicates an enabled system tree item, and 0 indicates a disabled system tree item. The enabling and disabling of system tree items follow the same guidelines as in the System file:
• Parents of parts and assemblies must be enabled for the part or assembly to be enabled.
• Disabling an assembly disables its children items.
• Enabling an assembly does not automatically enable all of its child items.

The export of data from the System Tree Configurations table is also supported. However, to be able to select this table on the Select Table Type page of the Export Wizard, the Configurations table must be turned on in the Table Settings pane in the Project Properties window. For more information, see Table Settings (Project).
