Customize Library Record Window
The Customize Library Record window provides for modifying the description for an assembly in an Assembly Library file or for a diagram in either an FTA or RBD Diagram Library file. Additionally, you can specify a custom image file to use for the assembly or diagram when the Icons view is selected for viewing results in the Library Browse window. This window opens when you click Customize in the Results pane.
The following table describes the options in the Customize Library Record window.
Option
Description
Description
The description to assign to the assembly or diagram in the library file.
Provides for selecting an image file to use when the Icon view is selected in the Results pane. When you click this button, the Open window opens so that you can navigate to and select the image file. Supported choices for file types are:
Bitmap Files (*.bmp, *.dib)
Exif Files (*.exif)
GIF Files (*.gif)
JPEG Files (*.jpg)
PNG Files (*.png)
TIFF Files (*.tif)
Windows Metafiles (*.wmf, *.emf)
Once you select a file, a small image of it is shown in the area to the right. This image is then used in the Icons view rather than the image that was created when the assembly or block was placed in the library file. This same custom image is used in the Preview pane.
When clicked, any custom image file that you selected using the browse button above is cleared. If you close and open the Customize Library Record window, the image that was created when the assembly or diagram was inserted or last modified in the library file is shown once again.

If you make changes to a Style file that is used by library files, the images it uses in the Results pane or Preview pane in the Library Browse window are not re-created. Images for these files are updated only when you insert or modify records in library files.
