Copying and Pasting a Report Object
Within a report section, you can copy one or more objects in a Report Design file and then paste this selection in the same file or in a different Report Design file. When pasting the selection in a different Report Design file, both files must be in the same Project, and both files must be open. You can also use these same procedures to copy and paste objects in Form Design files and diagrams.
Copying
To copy one or objects do the following:
1. Select the objects to copy. For information about selecting more than one object, see Selecting Multiple Report Objects.
2. Do one of the following:
Right-click your selection and select Copy.
Select Edit > Copy.
Pasting
To then paste this selection, do the following:
1. To paste it in a different diagram, select the diagram. Or, to paste it in a different file, open the second file.
2. Do one of the following:
Right-click and select Paste.
Select Edit > Paste.
If any problems are encountered when pasting items, the Paste Errors window opens. Clicking Details in this window displays information about the items that were not pasted. For example, in the Tryout mode, the data limits described in Tryout Data Limitations are imposed. In this case, the Paste Errors window would indicate that the paste operation exceeds the data limit. For more information, see Paste Errors Window.
