System File Changes
The following table notes System file changes you should be aware of when converting to PTC Windchill Quality Solutions 10.1.
*
For the Global Attributes table or Thumbnail window to function properly, the Administrator application for PTC Windchill Quality Solutions 10.1 must be configured to integrate with Windchill. For more information, see the “Configuring the Administrator Application” topic in the Windchill Quality Solutions Windchill Integration Guide. For any Project created from a Windchill product in a prior Windchill Risk and Reliability release, you must resync the system tree to copy the global attributes and images for your Windchill parts into the System file. For more information, see Synchronizing the System Tree with the Windchill BOM.
System File Entity
Description
FMEA Worksheet cells
The property for a FMEA Worksheet table cell is converted from a text type to a memo type so that you can enter an unlimited number of characters in a cell rather than only 255 characters.
Global Attributes table
If you create a Project from a Windchill product, Windchill global attributes and Creo quality-critical characteristics for Windchill parts are copied into the Global Attributes table, which is a special System Tree Items subtable in the System file that you can use to associate attributes with FMEA control plans and DVPs (design verification plans). For a Project created from a Windchill product in a prior Windchill Risk and Reliability release, you must resync the system tree to copy the global attributes for your Windchill parts into this table.
Thumbnail window
If you create a Project from a Windchill product, images for Windchill parts are copied into the System file so that you can see them in the auto-hide Thumbnail window. For a Project created from a Windchill product in a prior Windchill Risk and Reliability release, you must resync the system tree to copy the images for Windchill parts into the System file.
