Adding Windchill Risk and Reliability Licenses to an Existing PTC License
If you already have a PTC FlexLM license installed on an existing license server, you must add your Windchill Risk and Reliability licenses to it. Likewise, if you later purchase additional Windchill Risk and Reliability products, you must add these licenses to your existing PTC license.
Obtaining Your Windchill Risk and Reliability Licenses
To obtain your Windchill Risk and Reliability licenses:
1. Go to the PTC website and click the ESUPPORT in the top right-hand corner.
2. Scroll down to the Manage and monitor software section and click License Management.
3. In the Quick Licensing field, enter the order number or contract number, and click Search.
4. Select the product and select the send option.
Within one hour, you will receive an email at the address you specified in your license request. Attached to this email is a text file with the Windchill Risk and Reliability licenses you selected for your site.
Updating Your PTC License
To add Windchill Risk and Reliability licenses to your existing PTC license:
1. Save the license file attachment to the desktop of the license server.
2. Do the following:
a. If the application and license server are on the same server Go to <Windchill Risk and Reliability Intslattion Directory\PTC License Server Setup and launch setup.exe
b. If the license server and application are on separate servers, on the license server, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\flexnet\dsrc\x86e_win64\obj and launch ptcsetup.exe.
The Install License Server window opens.
3. The Software License Agreement screen appears.
4. Read the PTC Customer Agreement text, click the I accept the software license agreement radio button, select the Export Agreement checkbox, and then click Next.
5. The License Identification screen appears.
6. Drag the saved license file from the desktop of the license server into the area License Summary. If the drag-and-drop functionality does not work, to the right of License File, use the browse button to navigate to this file.
The License Summary area shows the available license sources installed using the Assistant or the licenses found on the computer. The license availability is shown in the Status column.
7. Click Finish.
