Silent Client Software Installation on a Client Computer
If desired, you can silently install client software on a client computer.
1. From the application server, copy the file for installing the client software to a folder on the client computer.
The name of this file is WindchillRiskandReliability12.0.exe. Providing that the default installation settings were used, the directory path on the application server is C:\Program Files (x86)\PTC\Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0\Windchill Risk and Reliability\Client.
The examples in this topic assume that you have copied the file to a folder named Temp on the C:\ drive of the client computer.
2. If desired, to open a window that lists the supported parameters for this silent installation, do the following:
a. Press the Windows icon key+R keys. The Run window opens.
b. For Open, type the directory path immediately followed by WindchillRiskandReliability12.0.exe /?.
For example, type:
C:\Temp\WindchillRiskandReliability12.0.exe /?
c. Click OK or press Enter.
The help window for the silent client installation opens, displaying descriptions of the parameters. For more information, see Parameters for Silent Client Software Installation.
